You can play audio clips into your live TalkShoe show on a Windows PC.  This article will show you how.

You can play an intro to your show, an outro at the end of the show, as a buffer between segments of your show, audio clips, or sound effects while live, on the air.

Here Are the Things You Will Need

1. You need to call in using a soft phone
such as X-Lite, Blink, or Skype.

2. You need VoiceMeeter Banana (will open in a new tab),
a software that mixes audio sources together (such as your microphone and an audio clip) into one audio stream that can be sent out to your TalkShoe show.

VoiceMeeter Banana is donationware, which means it is free but the software developer requests that you donate money to the developer.

3. You need a media player program that can be configured to use the VoiceMeeter Banana's Virtual Aux Input (as explained in the video below).

PlayIt Cartwall (will open in a new tab) is such a program.

It presents a board of audio clips you can play be simply clicking (or touching on a touch screen monitor) the clip you want to play, can be used for this purpose.  PlayIt Cartwall is also explained in the video below.

PlayIt Cartwall is also donationware.

PlayIt Cartwall can play the following audio formats:
  • mp3
  • wav
  • wma
  • mp4
  • m4a
  • aac

PlayIt Cartwall is a suggested program.  Any program that can use the Virtual Aux Input on VoiceMeeter Banana can be used in PlayIt Cartwall's place.

Here is a video to show how to configure VoiceMeeter Banana, PlayIt Cartwall, and your softphone to all work together.

When playing audio clips, please observe all copyright laws and observe
the TalkShoe Terms of Service (will open in a new tab).
